646f9e108c Earth is on the brink of extinction due to pollution and environmental disasters. In order to survive, humans create a shielded city called Ecoban that organically grows on its own, feeding on the earth¡¯s pollution. However, only a select few are allowed to live in the shielded city, leaving many to perish in the waste of the wilderness. Soon, there are reports that pollution levels are dropping, giving people hope that the entire Earth will once again be safe to live in. Conflicts arise after some city officials decide to continually pollute the earth so they can enjoy the prestige of living inside of Ecoban. Meanwhile, an intruder breaks into Ecoban as security frantically rushes to the scene of the crime. Jay, one of the leaders of the security unit, chases down the intruder only to find out that it¡¯s her first love, Suha. Previously assumed dead, Suha returns to Ecoban as a criminal, reminding Jay of his promise to her; that one day he will show her a blue sky, something that has been gone for too long. Now Jay feels torn between her long lost love and her civil duty as city security. Furthermore, Simon, the head of security and also in love with Jay, finds out about Suha¡¯s existence.
In the future, after the human civilization ended by war and pollution, only those few people who had the power and technology escaped the disaster. Those people built the last human city of Ecoban. As its energy source is the pollutant, the people of Ecoban plan to destroy the inhabitants of Marr to get more pollutant. Standing against Ecoban is a young man who wants only to clear the skies of the clouds to show the wonderful heavens to the girl he loves.
Wonderful Days, is a flawed masterpiece. In it&#39;s about 90 minutes running time, it&#39;s incredible larger-than-life ambitious story takes place in a galore of beautiful images and sound.<br/><br/>Images and sound. This is what Wonderful Days is about. It&#39;s a living proof of animation being art. Everything from the supreme art direction to the very detailed CGI to the hauntingly and tear jacking soundtrack. The story is were it&#39;s flawed. It&#39;s like, Wonderful Days tries to tell tons of stories. It is simply not enough for the time, the movie lasts. That&#39;s not to say that it&#39;s bad. The love story between the two main characters, the story about human civilization being at it&#39;s end and about the sufferings of the lower classes, is something we have seen hundreds of times before in Animation and Anime.<br/><br/>Wonderful Days does not have the philosophy and soul searching elements of Ghost in the Shell, nor is it as hip or as revolutionary as Akira, but it TRULY does stand on it&#39;s own legs. It depends on how you look at it. YOU as a viewer have to decide, if you want to let the images and music tell the story, or try to compare it to the top Japanese movies. It&#39;s masterpiece in it&#39;s own right. It just depend on which way you look at it. It&#39;s full of action, interesting characters and again… Some of the most beautiful CGI and animation ever. I personally consider this MUCH better than some similar movies like Appleseed, GITS1 and 2 and FF7: Advent Children. Wonderful days is a large step in the right direction for Korean animation. Go see this movie. Appreciate it for what it is.<br/><br/>9/10
I just watched this animation and I was impressed with it. The story was a little bland, but the visuals, acting, and the music more than make up for it. The 2D was a little off and would have liked to see a little more, but the 3D was very well done. The attention to detail was really nice.<br/><br/>I thought it was better than Ghost. It isnt for some, but I would say people should see it.

The Director&#39;s Cut is about 500 seconds longer. The new Director&#39;s Cut was almost completely re-dubbed, patrially they hired new voice actors. This effort was necessary to correct some flaws in the story, giving the movie a more fluent plot in many scenes.
